Miller Jeep Trail Itinerary - September 25, 2004

Run: Miller Jeep Trail

Date: Saturday, September 25, 2004

Trail Boss: Kurt Misner

Meeting Location: Flying J's Travel Plaza - Frazier Park exist off the 5 freeway past Gorman.

Meeting Time: 8:00 am, leaving at 8:30am

Approx Duration of Run: All day.

Degree Difficulty: 3+

Special Equipment Required: Rock panel protection a plus for some rocks.

Please Note:
I've read that Adventure Passes are required to park in the park.  Please bring yours along.  If you don't have one, you can pick up an annual one, or a $5 one-day pass at Walmart, SportMart, Big 5, Sport Chalet, REI or the Ranger Station.  We should be passing the station near Frazier Park, but they may be closed or out of passes.  Where ever you go, call first - stores sell out quickly.  If you don't have one, you can't park in the park (you have to drive around in circles while you eat you lunch, or risk a small ticket fine - Corral Canyon charged $5).

Number of Attendees Limited? NO.

Is Over Night Camping Available? Not sure - check possible Hungry Valley SRVA.

Trail Boss Camping? No. he's towing out for the day only.

Terrain: Steep fire roads up to Alamo summit (approx. 6200 ft.), then down to play in Hungry Valley SRVA if time allows. Pack a coat in case the mountains are chilly.
