Comments:
I have received a few e-mails about this trip and I thought I should clarify a few things! First, I never meant to discourage anyone from attending this trip, I just want to make sure you know what you are getting into. These trails are extreme and unlike most other trails out there. Body damage, flat tires, and break downs are common there. We as Dirt Devils did great out there last trip out, but not without some body damage, punctured gas tank, several slashed tires, and we did some winching! Everyone is welcome to come out, however please note the following:

Minimum vehicle requirements for this trip:

  • 2 LOCKERS (not limited slips), no smaller than 33" tires (recommend 35" tires)
  • spare parts
  • skid plates and body armor
  • and if you are running a Dana 35 rear end without a super 35 axle kit, you must have spare axle shafts (or borrow or get some).
  • Make sure your rig is in good shape. The Hammers are not a good place to come out and break down. If you are not sure about your driving skills, please call and talk to me please.

The last thing we want is someone to come out and break down and be upset. Also plan for flat tires. We had several slashed tires last time out. That all being said, the Hammers are a blast if you are set up for it. The last time out, we had a very challenging run. Every year the trail changes though, so it may easier or way harder this year. Please e-mail me if you are going so I know who to look for. The are groups going out Friday day, and Friday night. If you would like to come out and ride or hike, we have seats available for the taking, let me know if you are coming as a rider and I will set you up!

Let's go out and have a good safe trip! Call or email Quinn Thomas with any questions!
